6 clear aligner updates to know

Here are six updates about clear aligner technology and manufacturers that Becker’s has covered since Feb. 29:

1. Glidewell, a dental lab and technology company, partnered with dental software company ProMonitoring to launch a clear aligner system for general dentists. 

2. Ormco, a brand of dental supplier Envista, launched an on-demand ordering program for its Spark clear aligners. 

3. OrthoFX launched NiTime clear aligners, the first aligner system designed for shorter wear time that is cleared by the FDA.

4. Invisalign manufacturer Align Technology brought in $997.4 million in total revenues during the first quarter of 2024.

5. Memphis, Tenn.-based uLab Systems received its 1 millionth clear aligner treatment plan order.

6. Gordon Brothers, a liquidation and restructuring firm, posted SmileDirectClub’s former assets and inventory for sale.
