Reisterstown, Md.-based Real Diagnostics has acquired SimplyTest, a provider of saliva-based oral health tests, expanding the clinical laboratory into dental practices.
SimplyTest’s flagship PERIO test identifies key periodontal pathogens to help clinicians personalize patient care and monitor periodontal health over time.
Real Diagnostics is a CLIA-certified laboratory that specializes in high-complexity molecular infectious disease and toxicology testing. The deal extends the lab’s portfolio to oral health providers, according to an Oct. 22 news release.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Real Diagnostics is a portfolio company of private equity firm HCAP Partners.
