Dental tech company gets $35M financing to expand US operations

Zug, Switzerland-based vVardis, a dental technology company, partnered with OrbiMed to close on $35 million in financing.

vVardis is a developer and manufacturer of dental products designed for the treatment of early tooth decay, according to a Feb. 11 news release. 

The influx of capital will support the company’s growth initiatives and commercial expansion in the U.S. 

Chicago-based Aspen Dental recently teamed up with vVardis to provide patients with Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus and Curodont Protect, two tooth-decay prevention products from vVardis. 

OrbiMed is a healthcare investment firm with about $17 billion in assets under management, the release said.
