Oral surgeon introduces alternative dental implant device

Robert Hale, DDS, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, has introduced the KLS Martin Preprosthetic as an alternative to traditional dental implants. 

The FDA-approved device provides a dental implant option for individuals edentulous ridge deformities or failed implant sites and were not able to receive traditional implants, according to an Aug. 28 news release from Dr. Hale. 

The KLS Martin Preprosthetic can be placed in a minimally invasive procedure under procedural sedation.

Dr. Hale was an early clinical researcher with the device and currently trains other oral surgeons on the new approach to dental implants, the release said.
