Francisco Partners, a global investment firm, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire healthcare and dental technology Weave.

The transaction has an aggregate equity valuation of about $650 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Weave stockholders will receive $7.40 per share in cash, according to an Aug. 18 news release from Francisco Partners.

Weave’s AI-powered patient engagement and payments platform reduces administrative tasks and provides real-time insights that help practices run more efficiently.

Following the completion of the acquisition, Weave will continue to operate under the Weave name and maintain its headquarters in Lehi, Utah.

The transaction was unanimously approved by the Weave board of directors and is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. After the transaction closes, Weave will become a private company.

“Together with Francisco Partners, we will be able to enhance our ability to invest in our AI platform, deepen our payments and revenue cycle management capabilities, and further our vision of a better healthcare experience at every practice,” Brett White, CEO of Weave, said in the release.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
