Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University break ground on dental clinic: 3 takeaways

Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University broke ground on a dental clinic in part of their joint medical education venture, according to Crain's Cleveland Business.

Here are three takeaways:

1. Case Western Reserve University treats approximately 19,000 patients a year. The new three-story, 126,000 square foot building will give dental students a larger space to treat patients.

2. Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University began their collaboration efforts in 2013 and quickly expanded to include dental students in their medical education venture.

3. The dental clinic is expected to open in 2019 and will also include classrooms, studying spaces and new technology for enrolled students.
