Pennsylvania dentist faces federal charges after prescribing medically unnecessary prescriptions: 3 insights

Christopher Bereznak, DMD, is facing federal charges for prescribing prescriptions to patients that were not medically necessary, according to WNEP.

Here are three insights:

1. Dr. Bereznak was arrested in August 2017 for allegedly prescribing various opioids a woman he was in a relationship with.

2. Since the arrest, Dr. Bereznak's license has been suspended and he cannot prescribe painkillers.

3. Dr. Bereznak previously operated out of his private practice in Tunkhannock, Pa.
