Adin Dental Implant Systems, SpineGuard partner on dental implant technology: 5 takeaways

Adin Dental Implant Systems and SpineGuard partnered to conduct a study on the benefits of Dynamic Surgical Guidance technology for dental implants.

Here are five takeaways:

1. The in-vitro study took place in Henderson, Nev., and included three dental surgeons. The surgeons performed surgery using DGS technology, designed for pilot hole drilling in the upper jaw.

2. By drilling in the upper jaw, dental surgeons avoid sinus breaches in patients.

3. "We are very satisfied by this result that quantifies for the first time the benefits of out technology in dental surgery," said Oliver Frezal, vice president of technical operations at SpineGuard. "Thanks to its ability to measure electrical conductivity of tissues locally and in real time, DSG allows to optimize the pilot hole trajectory for implant placement respecting the sensitive anatomical structures."

4. Adin Dental Implant Systems, part of Adin Group, manufactures and sells products for dental professionals in more than 60 countries around the world.

5. SpineGuard designed DSG technology starting with screw placement spine surgery and has grown the technology to be used in various surgeries.
