New York City dentist arrested over sexual assault allegations

Police arrested Michael Krochak, DMD, at New York City Smile and Spa April 13 following allegations the dentist sexual assaulted a 24-year-old acquaintance, the New York Post reports.

Here's what you need to know.

1. Investigators allege Dr. Krochak removed the victim's clothes without consent. The dentist went on to perform oral sex on the victim. When the victim allegedly did not perform oral sex on Dr. Krochak, he began masturbating in front of him.

2. During the interaction, Dr. Krochak said to the victim, "Come on, you're being such a prude. Everyone does this," according to the report.

3. Police charged the dentist with committing a criminal sex act and sex abuse. Prosecutors requested a $50,000 bail; however, the judge released Dr. Krochak.

4. Dr. Krochak denied the allegations. He will reappear in court April 17.

5. Dr. Krochak has a prior arrest from 2003 for groping an 11-year-old boy inside a restroom. He was charged with forcible touching.
