New York City dentist arrested over sexual assault allegations

Police arrested Michael Krochak, DMD, at New York City Smile and Spa April 13 following allegations the dentist sexual assaulted a 24-year-old acquaintance, the New York Post reports.

Here's what you need to know.

2. During the interaction, Dr. Krochak said to the victim, "Come on, you're being such a prude. Everyone does this," according to the report.

3. Police charged the dentist with committing a criminal sex act and sex abuse. Prosecutors requested a $50,000 bail; however, the judge released Dr. Krochak.

4. Dr. Krochak denied the allegations. He will reappear in court April 17.

5. Dr. Krochak has a prior arrest from 2003 for groping an 11-year-old boy inside a restroom. He was charged with forcible touching.
