Florida man found practicing dentistry, operating dental lab without license: 4 insights

After receiving a tip about large sums of people entering JPC Jewelers in Tallahassee, Fla., and leaving in two to three minutes, police discovered Jose Cancel was operating a dental lab without a license, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Here are four insights.

1. Mr. Cancel is accused of operating an illegal dental lab to make custom ornamental tooth grills.

2. Police charged the man with practicing dental hygiene without an active license and operating a non-registered dental lab.

3. During the search of the Mr. Cancel's business, investigators found more than 200 teeth molds and $800 in cash.

4. Department of Health records do not list Mr. Cancel as ever being a licensed dentist.
