New York dentist pleads guilty to sexually abusing man inside office — Will not receive jail sentence

New York City-based dentist Michael Krochak, DMD, will not serve time in jail after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a 24-year-old man in his office, according to the Daily News.

On March 27, a young man visited Dr. Krochak at his office, NYC Smile Spa. There, the dentist demanded sexual favors. When the victim rejected Dr. Krochak's advances, the dentist stripped naked and masturbated. While the assault was happening, Dr. Krochak's secretary was in another room in the office filing paper work.

Dr. Krochak will serve a year of probation and undergo counseling twice a week. The district attorney's office decided to not pursue the criminal sex act charge against the dentist.

The dentist is expected to retain his medical license despite his guilty plea.
