Henry Schein partners with International College of Dentists: 5 takeaways

Henry Schein entered into a partnership with the International College of Dentists, becoming the exclusive partner for ICD's centennial anniversary.

Here are five takeaways:

1. The ICD will put on a series of special events supporting the theme "Celebrating the First 100 Years." The events will be take place throughout 2020 until the ICD 2020 International Council meeting, Nov. 13, 2020 in Nagoya, Japan.

2. Henry Schein partnered with ICD to recognize the outstanding and meritorious contributions of its members and extend the global reach of both organizations.

3. The partnership also extends Henry Schein's four-year commitment to ICD's Global Visionary Fund, which supports oral health initiatives and advancing dentistry.

4. Louis Ottofy, DDS, MD, and Dr. Tsurukichi Okumura of Japan founded the ICD in 1920.

5. Today the ICD comprises more than 12,000 fellows in 122 affiliated countries.
