What you should know:

1. Dr. Black operated the only dentist's office in the county.

2. Quitman resident Maurice Freeman said he hopes Dr. Black rebuilds his office. He said to WCTV: "My heart goes out to him. Not very many people like dentists. I definitely don't, but I need him. He's a great guy in this community."

3. Dr. Black first opened his office a decade ago. He said he would work to reopen his Quitman office.

4. For now, Dr. Black will accommodate displaced patients in his Valdosta, Ga., office.
