Kalee Kellough, 31, has filed a lawsuit against the Bend, Ore.-based practice alleging unlawful discrimination against her based on her sex.

According to the lawsuit, an office manager asked Ms. Kellough to leave the room where her daughter was supposed to undergo a root canal. When Ms. Kellough asked why, the office manager allegedly said it was because the dentist was uncomfortable that she was breastfeeding.

Willamette Dental Group referred Ms. Kellough to another dental office after she was escorted out.

The dental group did not return The Oregonian’s request for comment.
