U of Nebraska college of dentistry opens $2.6M dental clinic

Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry held the grand opening of its remodeled dental clinic Oct. 14, according to local ABC affiliate KHGI.

The $2.6 million renovation project included expanding the dental clinic from seven dental chairs to 15. Additionally, the money went toward adding multipurpose rooms for special procedures, updating all dental operatories, adding a conference room and updating the sterilization lab, reception area and support spaces.

The university will also use the new dental clinic to accommodate its new resident program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Dental hygienists will also use the space, as the new clinic will allow for more patients to be seen.
