Fire at Utah dental practice causes extensive damage

Lehi, Utah-based Stonehaven Dental was badly damaged by a first on Jan. 12, according to the Gephardt Daily.

Firefighters discovered smoke and flames coming from the basement of the practice when the arrived at 10 p.m. It took responders around an hour from the time of arrival to extinguish the fire. Crews remained at the practice through the night to remove the smoke.

The smoke damage was extensive, fire department Chief Jake Beck said. However, the fire did not reach the main level of Stonehaven Dental. An estimated cost of the damage has not been released.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
