CDC recommends dentists postpone all non-urgent treatment

Elective dental procedures, surgeries and non-urgent visits should all be postponed, according to CDC revisions made April 27.

During the pandemic, patients may experience dental emergencies that require treatment. Dental professionals should regularly consult their state dental board or other regulatory agencies for specific care requirements, according to the CDC. Despite CDC recommendations, several states have resumed elective surgeries.
