Nevada dentist charged with failing to pay taxes

Timothy Wilson, DDS, was indicted on tax charges June 17 by a federal grand jury, according to the Department of Justice.

Dr. Wilson, who owned and operated a North Las Vegas dental practice but has recently moved to Arizona, has filed for bankruptcy, his lawyer, Chris Rasmussen told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The indictment accuses Dr. Wilson of the following:

  • Withholding payroll taxes from his dental staff

  • Not paying more than $85,000 in withheld taxes to the IRS

  • Not filing a tax return for 2014

  • Not paying more than $100,000 in taxes he owed for 2013-18
