Minnesota dentist dies at age 29 after hiking accident

Daniel Allman, DDS, died after falling from a cliff in Minnesota over Labor Day weekend, according to his obituary in the Star Tribune.

Dr. Allman, 29, was camping with friends over the holiday weekend. The sheriff’s office said Dr. Allman fell about 100 feet from a cliff while hiking and landed in the Caribou River below, according to local news source Bring Me the News. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.

Dr. Allman served as a dentist at Plymouth, Minn.-based Boger Dental and was also a licensed real estate agent.

St. Paul, Minn.-based Hope Dental Clinic paid tribute to the dentist, who had volunteered at the clinic since 2017, saying Dr. Allman was “so kind to everyone he met in the clinic and brought laughter to many.”
