Grand jury indicts Virginia man accused of practicing dentistry without a license

A grand jury indicted a man who stands accused of operating a makeshift dental clinic out of his home in Sterling, Va., since 2016, on 15 charges, according to Loudoun Now.

Juan Ramos Jacobe was arrested March 26 after the Loudoun County (Va.) Sheriff’s Office received a report alleging he had sexually assaulted a mildly sedated minor while practicing unlicensed dentistry in his home.

Mr. Jacobe was charged in March with the sexual assault of a minor and practicing unlicensed dentistry, and he was charged in July with an additional count of assault and battery, five counts of sexual assault and five counts of practicing unlicensed dentistry. The 11 additional charges he faced were the result of more victims coming forward.

In November, he faced two more charges, one for misdemeanor sexual assault and one for felony practicing unlicensed dentistry.

On Dec. 14, Mr. Jacobe was indicted on all 15 counts, Loudoun Now reported. He has been held without bond since March.
