New York pediatric dentist gets prison for inappropriate conduct

A former New York pediatric dentist who pleaded guilty to a sex offense against a child has received a five-year prison sentence, according to CBS affiliate WIVB.

Louis Surace, DDS, pleaded guilty Sept. 15 to a charge of attempted first-degree criminal sexual act. He was arrested in early 2019 for alleged inappropriate conduct with a minor between 2015 and 2018.

Dr. Surace also received a post-release supervision sentence of 15 years.
