Iowa dental board puts dentist on probation for incomplete charting

William George, DDS, was put on probation by the Iowa Dental Board for failing to include periodontal charting in patients’ dental records.

The incomplete charting violated an Iowa statute. Consequently, Dr. George’s license will be placed on probation for two years. If the dentist retires before the probationary period is over, the probation will automatically end.

Dr. George’s license was issued in 1976 and is set to expire in 2022.
