Texas dentist charged with sexual assault, on leave at practice

A 35-year-old Texas dentist is out on bond after being arrested on a sexual assault charge, ABC affiliate KRGV-TV reports.

Eberechukwu Olaoni Iheanacho, DDS, was arrested April 2 after a woman filed a police report alleging that he sexually assaulted her March 17 at his home. Dr. Iheanacho was released April 2 after his bond was set at $40,000, according to Hidalgo County jail records.

When reached for comment, Weslaco, Texas-based Advanced Dental Associates said Dr. Iheanacho was a staff member, but he was on leave, according to KRGV-TV. The practice wouldn’t comment further. Dr. Iheanacho is not currently listed on the site’s list of team members.

Dr. Iheanacho didn’t respond to KRGV-TV’s request for comment.
