American Board of Orthodontics elects new president

The American Board of Orthodontics recently elected Patrick Foley, DDS, as its new president, the organization announced June 2.

Dr. Foley is currently the associate director of Saint Louis University’s Center for Advanced Dental Education and is an associate professor of orthodontics. He previously owned a private practice for 30 years.

The American Board of Orthodontics was established in 1929 as the first specialty board in dentistry. The organization’s goal is to advance care through certification, education and collaboration.
