A Texas dentist has donated $25,000 to the Hunt School of Dental Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, to go toward student scholarships.
Minyoung Lee, DDS, is a general dentist at Sunny Smiles Family Dentistry in El Paso. She said she was motivated to make the donation to help students facing financial difficulties. Her donation will be used to fund five scholarships for incoming students.
Texas Tech University announced plans to open the dental school in 2016 and opened to students this year.
