The University of Louisville (Ky.) School of Dentistry will take over operations at a pediatric dental clinic as part of a partnership between the school and a local nonprofit, WDRB reported Aug. 5.
Home of the Innocents' dental clinic provides dental services to children placed in foster care, children with autism, children of refugees and children with medical complexities. Services currently offered include preventive care exams, sealants, cleanings, sedation services and operating room services.
The dental school's takeover will expand care at the clinic through increased staff and treatment options.
