More than a third of U.S. dentists are looking to hire dental hygienists and dental assistants, according to poll findings from the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute.
Of 1,386 respondents, the following percentage of general dentists said they recently have or currently are recruiting for the following positions, as of Aug. 16:
- Dental hygienists: 34.2 percent
- Dental assistants: 37.2 percent
- Dentists: 12.3 percent
- Administrative staff: 24.8 percent
