Texas dentist pleads guilty to pornography production, will lose house: 5 things to know

On Sept. 20, a judge accepted a production of child pornography plea deal from Jason White, DDS, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas cited by KLBK-TV.

Dr. White, 42, a former Lubbock, Texas-based dentist, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography.

Five things to know:

1. In December, police received a tip from two parents that Dr. White had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with their minor children. The FBI and the Lubbock Police Department raided Lubbock-based Jason White Dentistry Jan. 14.

2. In February, Dr. White was indicted on charges of production of child pornography, receipt and distribution of child pornography, and enticement of a minor. In August, prosecutors alleged additional crimes involving seven victims over the span of 15 years.

3. According to the plea, Dr. White coerced a 17-year-old boy in December 2009 to engage in sexually explicit conduct that was being recorded. Over nearly a year, Mr. White produced seven more sexually explicit videos of the same child and uploaded them to a Dropbox internet account. Officials discovered the account during the January raid.

4. Mr. White admitted to enticing and producing sexually explicit videos of seven additional teenage boys. The children were as young as 13 at the time.

5. Dr. White faces a minimum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years. He must also forfeit his interest in his home and 966-acre ranch, where he committed his crimes.
