5 dental professionals recognized for oral health research by Colgate

Colgate recently awarded five dental professionals with $30,000 in grants to support continued oral health research, the company said in a March 8 news release.

The annual Colgate Award for Research Excellence grants are given for 12-month periods and support research projects across multiple disciplines. The projects were reviewed by a panel of academic dental researchers and chosen based on criteria including innovation, clinical significance, originality and scientific quality.

The five 2022 recipients are Michelle Arnett of Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota; Hyuk-Jae Edward Kwon, DDS, PhD, of the State University of New York, University at Buffalo; Roberto Fanganiello, PhD, of Quebec City-based Université Laval; Noha Gomaa, PhD, of London, Ontario-based Western University; and Neha Parikh, PhD, of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
