Amber Nichols was employed at Colonial Dental in Memphis, Tenn. The practice became suspicious after Ms. Nichols requested time off to go to Chicago with her husband for an embezzlement case.

After searching through records, a dentist found fraudulent charges on the dental office’s business credit cards from October 2019-August 2021 totaling $13,147.84. Police were notified of the incident Dec. 6, 2021, the report said.

Ms. Nichols is expected to appear in court March 30.
