Michael Glick, DMD, was named the International Dentist of the Year by the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Glick is the executive director of Penn Dental Medicine's Center for Integrative Global Oral Health at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
The award honors career contributions to dentistry, international education and service, according to a May 31 news release.
Dr. Glick has been an active member of the FDI World Dental Federation since 2007, serving on multiple committees. He also served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Dental Association from 2005 to 2020. He is also a past dean of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.
The ADI will present Dr. Glick with the award at its annual meeting in November.
