Florida dentist arrested 1 week after being charged with battery

A Florida dentist who was charged with battery last week after inappropriately touching an employee has been arrested again, ABC affiliate WEAR-TV reported June 2. 

Charles Stamitoles, DDS, 64, was first arrested May 27 for allegedly inappropriately touching an employee in multiple incidents at his dental practice, Stamitoles Dental Center in Pensacola, Fla. The employee told police she made contact with three other women who claim to have had a similar experience with the dentist, WEAR-TV reported. 

He was booked into Escambia County Jail and released on $5,000 bond.

Dr. Stamitoles was arrested again June 2 and charged with two more preliminary counts of battery. Witnesses told the news station that investigators were at his dental office the afternoon of June 2. He was again booked into Escambia County Jail and is being held on $45,000 bond.

Stamitoles Dental Center could not be reached for comment.
