Car crashes into California dental office, causes fire

A car crashed into a Santa Clarita, Calif.-based dental center, causing the building to catch fire, hometownstation.com reported June 12.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a dental office at about 12:40 a.m. June 12, according to Michael Pittman, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Bystanders broke a window and began pulling people from the car, some of which were trapped or unconscious, before the vehicle caught fire, the report said.

The fire from the crash spread into the dental office, Pittman told hometownstation.com. Multiple people inside the vehicle were transported to a trauma center with critical injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been released to the public, according to hometownstation.com.
