The New York State Dental Association on June 11 honored the late Mark Feldman, DDS, with two awards for his dedication and contributions to the dental industry.
Dr. Feldman, who served as executive director of the dental organization, died in November 2021.
He was awarded the 2022 Distinguished Service Award and the Jarvie-Burkhart Award for his contributions to the association and public service provided through his dental work.
The Jarvie-Burkhart Award is the highest honor given out by the association, according to a June 13 news release.
The honor marks the first time that the same person has won both of these awards in the same year.
