From donations to dental schools to DSO expansions, here are six New York dental updates Becker's reported on since June 7:
1. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance expanded its New York footprint with the addition of Helfner Family Dental to its network.
2. The New York University College of Dentistry in New York City received a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration for nearly $1.5 million.
3. The University of Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine received a $550,000 donation from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.
4. The New York State Dental Association honored the late Mark Feldman, DDS, with two awards for his dedication and contributions to the dental industry.
5. The New York State Dental Association elected James Galati, DDS, as its 142nd president.
6. Dental partnership organization Guardian Dentistry Partners added two New York City dental practices to its network.
