Dentsply Sirona, Team Smile, Carolina Panthers linebacker turn stadium into free dental clinic

Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson partnered with dental supply company Dentsply Sirona and the Team Smile nonprofit to turn the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, N. C., into a free dental clinic for students, WSOC-TV reported Nov. 29.

Approximately 300 local students attended the event, which provided services such as X-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

The dental organizations will also help provide follow-up care for some students, the news station reported.
