4 dental industry updates in Virginia

From legislative actions to license suspensions, here are four dental industry updates that have taken place in Virginia:

1. A Virginia House panel voted down a bill to study the possibility of expanding Virginia Commonwealth University’s dental school into the southern part of the state.

2. A dentist in Williamsburg, Va., was suspended for diverting controlled substances for personal use.

3. West Richmond (Va.) Family Dentistry was destroyed in a fire.

4. The Virginia Board of Dentistry indefinitely suspended the dental license of Craig Zunka, DDS, for practicing outside the scope of his license.
