The University of Alabama at Birmingham recently launched a national registry to conduct research on outcomes of dental implant services.
The registry will guide a three-year study of outcomes and examine the parameters associated with successful implant therapy and the rate of prosthetic and biologic implant complications, according to a March 7 news release. Nicolaas Geurs, DDS, will lead the project.
Total funding for the study is $2,354,358 and is provided by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
