The Delta Dental Oral Health Diversity Fund will provide funding to inspire school-aged children from underrepresented communities to pursue careers in the oral health industry. The fund is pledging $1 million in its first year, according to a March 20 news release.

The institute is also continuing to support scholarships and grants at minority-serving institutions. Since 2018, Delta Dental has given almost $50 million to colleges and universities.

The campaign will also support new research on the dental and oral health workforces and solutions to increase diversity among them, the release said.
