William Calnon, DDS, was recently given the Distinguished Service Award by the New York State Dental Association.
Dr. Calnon is the board president for the Eastman Foundation as well as a trustee and professor at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center.
His past leadership roles include interim director of the URMC's Eastman Institute for Oral Health, president and trustee of the American Dental Association and president of the New York State Dental Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, according to an April 6 news release.
