Rhode Island woman charged with practicing dentistry without a license

A Rhode Island woman was charged with practicing dentistry without a license, NBC affiliate WJAR reported May 18.

Altagracia Adames, 57, was charged May 10 with one count of practicing dentistry without a license. 

The Rhode Island Department of Health contacted the Rhode Island State Police Department in November 2022 about a victim who allegedly received unlicensed dental work from Ms. Adames and experienced intense pain and swelling that led to the hospitalization as a result.
