Dentist buys Maine practice after previous owner's retirement

David Levasseur, DDS, has bought a dental practice in Presque Isle, Maine, after the previous owner retired, according to a July 22 report by The County.

The previous owner, Olurotimi Odimayo, DMD, practiced at the location for 20 years.

Renovations to expand the operating rooms and create an additional one, update the reception area and bring in new dentistry technology began June 5.

Dr. Lavasseur will take over Dr. Odimayo's patients as well as new patients and have the practice open four days each week.

The practice is one of three general dentistry practices in Presque Isle and has a reopening planned for the middle of August, the report said.
