Rahul Kallianpur, DDS, a dentist at Brookside Family Dentistry in Chester, N.Y., is planning to open a dental practice at an old pharmacy in Pleasantville, N.Y., according to a Sept. 5 report from The Examiner News.
According to an application submitted to the town planning commission, the dental practice would have five examination rooms, an office, a consultation room, a photography room and a digital printing area.
Dr. Kallianpur said he plans to staff the practice with an office manager, an assistant and one hygienist alongside himself during the first year of operation. He expects to eventually have two dental hygienists, two treatment coordinators, one manager and two dental assistants.
The application is scheduled for a vote of final approval from the commission Sept. 13. If approved, there is no timeline for when the practice could open.
Pleasantville Pharmacy opened in 1971 and closed in August 2021, the report said.
