ADA invests in 2 oral healthcare companies

The American Dental Association recently invested funds into Oral Genome and Overjet.

Oral Genome is the developer of a salivary test that detects biomarkers associated with caries and periodontitis. Overjet is a dental artificial intelligence company with a platform that detects decay and quantifies bone loss on radiographs in real time.

The ADA Innovation Advisory Committee advises the ADA’s Board of Trustees on investments related to new products and services, according to a March 5 news release. The ADA said the two investments come from the organization’s reserves.
