Marcus Swann, DMD, and Direct Pay Dental in Falmouth, Mass., allegedly filed nearly $200,000 worth of false claims to MassHealth between May 10, 2017, and Aug. 24, 2022. The claims were allegedly for services that were not provided or for services that were required to be performed by a dentist but were not. The dentist and practice were each charged with four counts of Medicaid false claims and larceny over $1,200, according to a March 5 news release from Mass.gov.

Dr. Swann and Direct Pay Dental could not be reached by Becker’s for comment as of publication time.
