Contagious Smiles, owned by Larry Anthony, DDS, is closed, with the doors locked, the lights shut off and the website not working.

The news outlet was provided the following statement about the closure: “Due to unforeseen financial difficulties, Contagious Smiles dental practice will be forced to close its doors effective immediately. Additionally, Dr. Anthony will be filing for bankruptcy to address these financial challenges.”

There have been multiple individuals that have paid thousands of dollars for appointments and treatment, but have not received dental care or a refund, according to patients that spoke with WREG.

In the statement, the practice said that it plans to address refunds and outstanding balances.

In addition to Tennessee, Dr. Anthony has dental licenses in Arkansas and Georgia, the report said.
