From March 2020 to June 2020, among other issues, Dr. Sheppard failed to communicate and perform a pre-treatment of a patient, review records, assess a patient’s pre-orthodontic condition and maintain records, according to a Nov. 12 news release from the Washington Department of Health.

Prior to her license being reinstated, Dr. Sheppard must pay a $20,000 fine and reimburse the commission $5,456.48. In addition, she must complete 31 hours of continuing education and pass a jurisprudence exam.

The commission charged Dr. Sheppard with unprofessional conduct in August 2022.
