5 best states to practice dentistry for new graduates

Alaska is the best state for new graduates to begin practicing dentistry in 2023 due to its high pay, low taxes and supportive programs and incentives, according to dental education provider Spear Education.

To create this ranking, Spear Education examined states’ average salaries, individual and business tax rates, overall costs of living and state-level programs or incentives offered for practicing dentistry. The list was posted Dec. 15.
