Here are five dental industry fraud cases Becker’s has covered so far in 2025:

1. A woman in Florida was accused of using unauthorized dental practices to run a $11.2 million fraud operation.

2. Tiffany Denyse Young, a former dental office manager in Florida, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for defrauding the dental practices where she worked.

3. Muhammad Adil Quraish, DDS, a former Air Force dentist, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud relating to pandemic relief funds.

4. Orange, Calif.-based Sonrava Health and several of its dental subsidiaries agreed to pay $540,000 to resolve allegations that it fraudulently submitted claims for reimbursement under Medicare and Medicaid.

5. Julio Irizarry, DDS, a dentist in Florida, voluntarily surrendered his dental license following allegations that he committed fraud.
