2. Thomas Schneider Jr., DDS, was named president-elect of the Chicago Dental Society.
3. Jeffrey Banford, DDS, of Blanford Dental Center in Lima, Ohio, was sentenced to six months in prison after he was convicted in a tax evasion scheme.
4. A civil lawsuit filed Jan. 21 is suing Jason White, DDS, for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. This comes on top of child pornography charges that stemmed from a raid of his practice in Lubbock, Texas.
5. Mackenzie Craik, DDS, of Walla Walla, Ore., was accused of changing a 2-year-old’s treatment plan without fully informing his mother. The procedure was done in 2019, and since then he left the state and is practicing in Georgia.
